* Roomy interior for people and cargo; strikes a good balance between ride comfort and sure-footed handling. Source: Edmunds
* The 2015 RAV4 captures the spirit of freedom that began with the original RAV4, yet breaks new ground in refinement, practicality and technology. The traditionally mounted spare now resides under the cargo floor so that the RAV4 now has a true liftgate, opening up instead of out. Opt for the RAV4 Limited and you'll get a power liftgate with jam protection that even offers height adjustment. From its efficient engine to its new 6-speed automatic transmission and updated suspension, RAV4 is every bit a driver's machine. It's now available with the all-new Dynamic Torque-Control All-Wheel Drive system. It improves handling by distributing power from front to rear, and manages the vehicle's braking system from side to side for maximum control. RAV4's standard 2.5L engine produces 176hp along with 172 lb.-ft. of torque to make short work of long roads. With the pull of a handle, passengers can recline the rear seatbacks and enjoy the ride. Even with all the leg room offered by RAV4's interior, there's still plenty of room for your gear. In fact, you can stow up to 38.4 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seatbacks in their upright position. You can even fold the second-row seats in seconds by pulling the handle up and lower the seatbacks to create a wide, flat load space with 73.4 cubic feet of cargo capacity. Optional features now include Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert which provides audible and visual cues when the RAV4 detects oncoming traffic. The available Smart Key fob allows you to lock and unlock the doors and liftgate with one touch and start the vehicle with the push of a button, Display Audio with Navigation and Entune, 11 JBL GreenEdge speakers in seven locations with a subwoofer and amplifier. * If the current crop of midsize family sedans leaves you wanting, the 2014 Hyundai Sonata’s mix of elegant styling, rich creature comforts and impressive fuel economy may reinvigorate your need to write a check. The Sonata’s great warranty and resale history are also worth noting. Source: KBB.com
* Lots of standard and optional features for the money; impressive power and fuel economy; generous warranty. Source: Edmunds
* Recipient of Motorweek's Drivers' Choice Award for the best Family Sedan, the Hyundai Sonata was built giving it all the things people wanted in a mid-size sedan. More style, More room, A 5-Star Safety Rating, and a request for more power and more efficiency. Sonata uses a Gasoline Direct Injection 4-cylinder engine to generate the most standard horsepower in its class, with an impressive EPA-estimated highway rating of 35 MPG. A turbocharged version was conceived for drivers seeking V6 power with 4-cylinder fuel efficiency as well as a Hybrid model offering up to 40 MPG HWY with no major sacrifices to horsepower. The Sonata offer three models: GLS, with premium features uncommon in most midsize sedans; SE, with sport tuning for a higher level of responsiveness and performance; and Limited, a Sonata fully equipped with advanced technologies that satisfy your highest expectations of comfort and convenience; Enjoy space and comfort for yourself and four friends inside. Listen to all your favorite artists through the available 400-watt Infinity audio system with 9 speakers audio system. Find a gas station, track vehicle maintenance and send voice-to-text messages without leaving the driver seat, thanks to Blue Link. Plus, find eight ways to perfect comfort with the available power-adjustable driver seat with power lumbar support. The Sonata has more passenger, cargo and interior space than any other vehicle in its class. There's more head room and leg room in the front and - thanks to specially designed recessed hinge - even a larger trunk. The Sonata's available navigation system makes it easier for you to get from A to B. Use voice-recognition or the interactive touchscreen to get directions without being distracted. You can never be too safe when reversing. The view from the available Sonata rearview camera is displayed on the central in-dash touchscreen, with guidelines that help direct you into tight spots and take the guesswork out of backing up. Reviews:
* Agile handling; fuel-efficient V6; quiet cabin; configurable second-row seat; easy-to-fold third-row seat; top crash test scores. Source: Edmunds
* The Honda Odyssey is a clear choice for a family looking for a practical, comfortable, fuel-efficient, feature-packed 8-passenger hauler. It’s easily better at those tasks than a full-sized SUV, and there’s nothing like those sliding doors when you’re in a tight parking lot. Source: KBB.com
* The Honda Odyssey has a wide, low stance with a modern aerodynamic feel. Its fresh, angled lines, combined with updates to its front end, grille, and rear taillights result in a bold design. Take into consideration its great records for reliability and safety combined with fact that it is enjoyable and comfortable to drive, and this is one vehicle should not be missed. Depending on the trim level you select, it can seat up to 7 or 8 passengers. The third row seats are split, and each seat can fold flat into the floor. The outside seats in the second row can slide towards the walls, so that three child safety seats can fit next to one another. The Multi-Function 2nd-Row Center Seat, on EX trims and above, can either fold forward to become a center console or slide forward 5.5 inches to enable a child seat to be closer to the driver and front passenger. For extra cargo space, one or all of the second row seats can be removed as well. Powering the Odyssey is a 3.5L V6 engine, with 248 hp, which gets an EPA estimated 19 MPG City and 28 MPG hwy. The base Odyssey, comes standard with such items as a rearview camera, an AM FM CD Radio with 7 speakers and a color 8-inch interface screen, Bluetooth® connectivity, and power front seats. Higher trims come with features like power sliding doors, LaneWatch camera system, navigation, 3-zone climate control, leather, and a power lift tailgate. The top-of-the-line Touring Elite trim gives you things like the amazing Honda DVD Ultrawide Rear Entertainment System, and a premium 12 speaker sound system with surround sound. The Touring Elite also gives you the convenience of the innovative HondaVac, which is a vacuum cleaner integrated with the car to help fight day-to-day messes. Source: The Manufacturer Summary
